For Closed-Circuit Cooling Tower Users
Dear Valued Customers,
Thank you for choosing Kaixiang Heat Transfer / Kaixiang Leshui closed-circuit cooling towers.
As winter approaches, ambient temperatures may drop below 0°C. To prevent freezing damage, all users are strongly advised to take proper antifreeze measures in advance. Residual water left inside the cooling coils after shutdown may freeze and cause coil rupture and equipment damage if no protection is applied.

Antifreeze Recommendations
For outdoor installations or environments below 0°C
Add antifreeze to the circulating water system
Use qualified, brand-name glycol-based antifreeze
Determine the antifreeze concentration based on the local minimum ambient temperature and follow the manufacturer’s instructions
Reference ratios:
–10°C: 20–30% antifreeze + 70–80% water
–20°C: 40–50% antifreeze + 50–60% water

When the equipment is shut down
Completely drain all circulating water and spray water
Ensure no residual water remains in coils, basins, or pumps
Additional protection (recommended)
Install thermal insulation covers and insulated curtains
Equip the spray water basin with auxiliary electric heaters and independent temperature control
Important Note
Antifreeze protection is a simple but critical measure for winter operation. Antifreeze will not damage the equipment when properly selected and used in a closed-loop system.
